Photo shoot

On Sunday we went to Aunt Jodies house and she took some pictures of us as a family. She is such a great photographer. I was so happy she could do that for us... especially since we aren't supposed to take him to public places. I am working on editing some of the pictures so they are black and white.... I just haven't figured it out yet. I will post some pictures when I finish. Jeff and Titan were such good sports to sit through all the different poses I wanted to get. Titan wasn't too happy at first and was crying when we had him naked to get some pictures. Jeff was a little hesitant on those too because he was afraid he would get peed on! However, Titan was a good boy and didn't give daddy or anyone else a free shower. I am really excited to have some pictures of him when he is so tiny and to have our first official family photo.

Back Home

Well we are back home now. Jeff went back to work Monday and it was mine and Titans first day on our own and we survived. We do pretty good during the day it is just the night that is a little sketchy. I try to be quite so Jeff can sleep since he has to go to work but that doesn't always happen. Titan has his days and nights mixed up right now so he is awake from about 11 pm to 2 am. Yesterday I tried to keep him awake during the day so he would sleep more at night.... it didn't work to well. I guess it will just take time for him to get on a better schedule. In the meantime I just attempt to sleep whenever he is sleeping.

Since he was in the special care nursery after being born and there were so many noises he has a hard time sleeping if it is too quite. So, my mom got him this bear that makes noise that is supposed to sound like what it sounds like in the womb. He loves it! It is a life saver. Thank you mom! He sleeps so much better with that on and it isn't as annoying as baby music so I can sleep too:)

Staying in Tooele

Since my recovery is going to be a little longer due to the c-section we decided to take up my parents offer and stay with them for a few days. It has been such a blessing to be there. We have been able to spend more time bonding as a family and Jeff didn't have to worry as much about fixing meals and taking care of me and the baby. Plus, my mom got to see the baby more... which I don't think she minded one tiny bit! Everyone is so excited to have him here it has been hard to not take him around to show him off. Jeff is going back to work on Monday so we will be going back home. We will see how we manage then! My mom will be coming to take us to Dr's appointments and Jeff can come home to eat on his lunch break. So, we should be able to manage things:) It has been so nice that Jeff was able to take some time off of work. Just one more blessing to count.

Why blog?

Well since Titan is on restriction from public places and lots of visitors I thought it would be nice to share him with others through a blog. You will have to bare with me because I am not very technical but I am learning! It seems like becoming a mother does that to you. I have learned so many lessons in such a short time.... yes i can function, slightly, after a week of no sleep, it is better to have the diaper ready before hand, and one baby can go through more loads of laundry than two adults! I am looking forward to more learning. Enjoy~!
